I Love To See The Temple

I had the wonderful opportunity to go to the temple this morning with my ward. I needed to be there at 5:30 a.m. I won't lie to you. I was contemplating if I should go or not because it was early in the morning, I had homework that needed to be done so I was up late. I was having this internal battle in my mind all last night wondering if I should go or not. The question actually is not should I go, its do I want to go, especially so early in the morning. After choosing to go I can't believe that it was such a hard choice for me to make last night. I should never think do I want to go to the temple. I should be thinking, I have the opportunity to attend the temple with my ward, or at other times, when do I have time to go to the temple. I had such an amazing experience while I was in there today. I realized that that is where I needed to be, that I miss the temple, and that I should NEVER have the thought is my mind 'should I go.' The temple is such a wonderful place, it truly is the House of the Lord. While I was waiting in the chapel the temple president asked if he could sit by me. Of course I told him yes. Although we did not speak much to each other I felt blessed to be sitting next to the president of one of the Lord's temples. He is such a wonderful man who is truly called of God.

Through out my life I have had many wonderful and amazing opportunities that involve the temple. I have experienced the ground breaking, open house, and dedication of the Billings, Montana temple. I also was able to help with the preparing/building of this temple. That temple means so much to me. It was the first temple that I was able to do baptisms in.

The Rexburg temple also has a place in my heart. I was able to witnesses it being built throughout the years and also attend its open house. I have done many baptisms there and have had many wonderful experiences within its walls. It is a beautiful building.

Patience is Vital

Lately there have just been some things in my life that are bothering, frustrating, and confusing me. It drives me insane! I went to devotional yesterday and boy was it amazing! Sister Gee spoke about patience. Perfect timing for what I needed in my life right now! :) I seriously think that one of my constant and ongoing trials is for me to learn patience. I just cannot get it apparently.
Here are some of the key points that I got out of Sister Gee's devotional. Patience is the key to developing a Christ-like life. I love that. It also means that I have a lot of work to do, but it is possible. She also said that we need to put our desires on hold and submit to Heavenly Father's timing. I believe that this is probably the hardest part for me. I believe that it is true with all my heart! However, it is one of the hardest things to do because we all, especially me, get lost in what we want at that moment in time, and what we think is best for us. Putting your trust in Him can help solve all these bothering, frustrating, and confusing things in my life. One other thing that was said was that we need to learn to accept changes in our plan. This I feel goes a long with putting our desires on hold and submitting to His timing. Being able to change our plans helps us be more able to submit to His timing.
I would strongly suggest for all to listne to this devotional talk. It is wonderful, enlightening, and help anyone with situations and problems in their lives that they are facing. It is called, 'Patience: A Process of Perfection' by: Sister Suzette Gee

Here is the link to go to it. :D

The Power of Prayer

Recently my testimony of prayer has grown so much! My stake at school set a goal for us to try and have morning and night prayers. Night prayers are easier than morning prayers for me. I'm not a morning person, if you know me well or have lived with me you most likely know this already. So morning prayers have always been struggle for me to accomplish. Ever since one of the goals for the stake is to say morning prayers, I wanted to try and do better at it. I can certainly testify that every morning when I say those morning prayers, even if its just when I literally roll off my bed, which is most of the time, I can feel the difference in my day. I love the opportunity that I have to talk to my Heavenly Father and that He is always there and willing to listen. I love prayer! What a wonderful gift it is!

My Gratefuls

One thanksgiving my mom gave us a little notebook. This notebook was to be our grateful notebook. We are to write down everything that we are grateful for each day. I will admit that I could do better at writing in it each day. I try to do it whenever I think about it and when I remember. Well, I was rereading some of the things that I have written down in the last little while. On September 22 this is what I wrote that sums up my feelings. "The gospel of Jesus Christ-I continue to be amazed by the wonderful gospel. What a gift it is and has been to me. I love that I can learn and discover and even rediscover principles of the gospel. I love prayer! I love that I ahve the opportunity to talk to my Heavenly Father whenever I want. The scriptures are a great blessing to me also. There is so much I can learn and understand from the scriptures." After reading this again, it just reminded me really, how grateful I am for the gospel in my life. What I said in september goes for now and forever! I will always be grateful for Jesus Christ and the gospel.

I found this quote in one of my classes: "There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle." -Albert Einstein

Oppostion In All Things

Last night for my scripture study I was reading in 2 Nephi 2. I got to verse 11 where is talks about having opposition. It says that if did not have opposition we would not know holiness, misery, good or bad. It got me thinking how it would be to not have any of these things. We would not have joy, or misery. We need opposition in order for us to know and and experience pure joy. Which lead me to think of how important opposition is in our lives. I can honestly say that during times of trials or just hard times, I don't usually think, 'I am so grateful that we have oppostion in our lives right now.' I should be thinking this though. Because with these experiences comes experiences of true joy and happiness. This got me thinking about the comment that was made in Relief Society that I mentioned about asking the question, 'why me?' I will restate it; "You can't ask the question 'why me' in time of great trouble unless you ask it in times of great blessings." This is so true! It is important that we endure to the end. Go through these hard times of opposition, endure them so we can find joy and receive the greatest gift, eternal life! Just as it says in one of my favorite scriputes 2 Nephi 31: 20!

Best Sunday Ever! :)

This past Sunday was a real good one! It was testimony meeting which is always great. I was pretty proud of myself I might say because I stood up and gave my testimony for the first time here at my college ward. I was pretty dang nervous I might add. I am so glad I did it and I don't regret making that choice. A guy bore his testimony on the meaning of the sacrament which hit me pretty hard! He shared his story about the first time the sacrament became real to him. He used to always play with the sacrament cups after drinking the water instead of putting it back in the tray. One of his leaders came to him and told him that every time he puts that cup back in the tray to listen to the litle 'clink' that it resembles one drop of blood that the Savior shed for him personally. After hearing this story I will never think of the sacrament same. What an amazing way to make the sacarament be personal to you!

Relief Society was amazing also! Someone is class made this comment that I really liked and thought I would share. , 'There is never going to be nothing good in your life.' Love that! One more that I thought was worth sharing is this: **You can't ask the question 'Why me?' in times of great trouble unless you ask it in times of great blessings!!**

Concert!!

On Friday night I went to a David Osmond concert with my friends Paige and Janessa. It was so much fun!! He is a really good performer. He came down into the audience and had us sing for him, called people out of the crowd, it was a blast!! Paige said that David should have come to me to singing because I knew almost all the songs that he had us sing with him. It was so cool, he did a mix of popular songs like, I Gotta Feeling-which he improved some words, pretty funny!-Signed, Sealed, Delievered by Stevie Wonder, Hey Soul Sister by Train, Just the Way You Are by Bruno Mars, I'm Yours by Jason Mraz, No One, Alicia Keys, and many more that I just don't want to type. haha. Oh he also did The Way You Look Tonight, and How Sweet It Is! Classics!! He actually almost did come to us..freaked me out for a minute but he went to the girl in front of us instead. Hallelujah! haha. It was sooo much fun! After we went to Jamba Juice! Man I love that place!! Great weekend! :)
Peace Yo!!

I Fail

I have been failing lately at putting anything up on here. It is mostly because I don't honestly know what  to say. I haven't done a whole lot. haha.
On a better note General Conference this weekend was amazing!! I enjoyed it very much. I love President Monson. He is a funny man, amazing speaker and truly a prophet of the Lord! I can't wait to get the conference issue of the Ensign next month.
For this mornings session my roommates and I decided to make breakfast all together so we did. It was so good! I eat so much that I really almost vomitted. We gave the left overs to our home evening brothers. Hope they enjoyed it too. :) We also invited our home evening brothers to come watch the last session with us today..yeah..great idea..but not so great at the same time..haha. I will just say that it was a little harder to concentrate at times while they were there.
So..we 'used' to have this pranking thing going on with our brothers too but we put it behind us, but yesterday they left two of my roommates at their apartment by themselves while they went to the priesthood meeting. So to 'prank' them we went over and cleaned their apartment. :) haha. They better love us so very much! jk. hahaha!
Not much else has been going on. Oh hold on..mom, dad, and Ethan, all come to visit last weekend. That was a lot of fun. We just went shopping and had a good weekend. Now, I do believe that that is it for reals.

Peace Yo!

P.S. David Archuleta is in Blackfoot, ID in December! Heck ya! I want to go!!
P.P.S. Here are just a couple pictures from the semester so far...enjoy! :)
Yes, that is a quaffle, like from Harry Potter.

Home Evening..and Other Fun Things..

On sunday we got our 'home evening' groups. I don't like to brag but our group is Awesome!! I really mean that, they are pretty legit. I do believe that there are going to be some fun times and fond memories. And trust me it will happen because some have already started.

I saw my teacher today, Brother Godfrey for the first time since preschool last semester. I didn't know that I would miss doing the preschool program and everything so much here, but I really do! He asked me if I missed it and I told him that I really did. It was a stressful but fun experience. I really miss all the girls in my lab too. They are all just so amazing! It was such a blessing to get along so well with each other. We need to have a reunion happen! haha.

Oh, highlight of my monday-yesterday. One of my home evening brothers from last semester had this sweet car! I mean it was amazing and legit! Aubery and I would always dibs the car so we could ride in it. One day I look at my phone after work and see that I have a text from Cody. He is selling his car!!! No!!! He can't..well he did. So, we (his car and I) had to say our final farewell. Yesterday was the day because he sold it. I got to say my fond farewell to this wonderful friend. What a fond farewell it was. The best part of it......I GOT TO DRIVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yeah..maybe a little excited about that! Thank you Cody. hahaha. Sidenote: if you are wondering it is a 2004 Volvo S60. Lets just say that it was great and we formed a wonderful relationship. :) Holla!

Peace Yo!

School, Talk, that's about it!

I am so sorry that I have not put anything up lately. I haven't had much happen until school started. I got back to Rexburg for school on saturday the 10th. It was great to be back. Hope mom and dad do good not having any children at home anymore. I'm sure they will learn to manage and then not want any of us there anymore. :) haha. As I said I got back here on the 10th..well..I was asked to speak in church in my singles ward here at school for sunday the 11th. Yeah..only a day after I got here. It was great..oh I was asked to do it a little over a week before I came so I had time. I was asked to speak on Sunday Worship. I hope that it went well.
Our ward this semester is basically all foreign to me. That is saying something since I have not even moved a ward since starting school here in fall of 07. Yeah..that long ago. Everybody and their pig decided that they would move out of the ward for this semester. Funny story..some of the guys that moved out went to Georgetown..well this semester they rearranged our ward boundries and our ward got 4 apartments from Georgetown. Those guys that moved there missed being back in our ward by either 1 or 2 apartments depending on which one they were in. haha.
I have now offically had my last first day of school!! Excited a little..nervous a little also. It is starting to become more real then it was before. Let's just hope that all goes well so that it stays my last first day of school! :)
Last night I went to my old roommate Jessica's house and her husband's Chads. Crazy to actually say that now! :) I went with Lauren, Aubrey, Brooks, Tara, Hailey, and Blake. It was so much fun! I miss being able to hang out with them all the time and have our amazing talks that we have! It is just so great!! Love you guys!!!!!! :) :) :) :)
Oh I got a new computer that is now purple and has skype so..if find me and we can skype! haha. :)
PEACE!!!

Softball?? What?

Yesterday was a ward activity to play softball. I went with the Martin's (a family in the ward) to it. I had the first intentions to not play, but I learned from being at school that I always need to come prepared because I usually end up having to play anyway. Yeah, the same thing happened here. I ended up playing. The deal was that I didn't bat I could only play the outfield and when I say outfield I mean I went way out there so I wouldn't get any balls. I had Elder Brunson make sure that I didn't have to get any. So basically he was our team and and covered his whole area and mine. It was great fun! Thank you Brunson! hahaha.

I Can't Think of a Title..

I haven't really wrote much lately. This is mostly due to the fact that there isn't much to say. I haven't really done much in the past week or so. Work is crazy but good at the same time. The kids are enjoying their last few weeks of summer and so are we. We are right now starting to get ready for our open house that is next thursday.
We are traveling to Wyoming this weekend to go see some family down there are my grandparents. That should be interesting and fun.
Peace!

Summer

I have almost completed my first week of work in the summer. It has been a crazy, fun time. I just happend to start the week of fair which means of course it is going to be crazy and fun. Today, Thursday, we took the kids to the parade and to the fair. It was a blast.
One thing I said I was way stoked for about summer was getting a tan, and having tanlines. Yes, I do love me some tanlines for the purpose that it means that I got tan. haha. So after my first week, mainly today after being outside for the parade and fair ALL day I got a tan.

In 'normal' light this is the start to my sweet tan.

In a little bit darker light it looks pretty legit!! haha.

I Don't Believe In That!!

For the last day of preschool we were all given awards and I got the "I Don't Believe In That" award! :) I will actually miss preschool even though it seemed crazy throughout the semester.

P.S. sorry for all the posts recently but I guess a lot has happen in the last few days. :)

Shooting and BBQ!!

We had a BBQ at one of our brothas houses and we were helping prepare it. His mom asked us who would like to make the hamburgers..my lovely brother Cody, volunteered me, but actually I wanted to so it was fine. What was funny was that she asked if I wanted gloves because it grossed her out, I was totally great with my bare hands. I liked it. haha. Oh and Cody ended up cutting the tomatos. HA! Cody!!!

Another brother, Logan took me and Aubrey shooting on saturday. It was only my second time shooting a gun. They make me nervous. I only shot hand guns. It was fun. He had so many freakin guns. They wanted me to shoot an AK 47. Yeah..I refused. haha.

HARRY POTTER!!!!!!!!!!

Thursday night/friday morning I saw Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2!!! AMAZING!!!!! I absolutely loved it! I went with the girls from my preschool lab, that I teach with. We has such a blast. A couple of them met up with us there and eat dinner with us, 5 Guys, because they were not staying to watch the movie. One of our teacher's, Brother Godfrey, his son was going to be there so he told us to harass him. Yeah, we actually did see him there so of course we did harass him. Funny story! It really was! His son didn't know who we were so it was pretty funny/ interesting. We tried to get our teacher to go with us to the movie but his son decided to go with friends instead. Then we tried to get him to go to dinner with us, but his other son was in a play so he didn't go to dinner with us either We even passes a note to him in during class.
This is the Note that we passed in class!!!

All in all the movie was AMAZING!!! I would go see it again in a heartbeat!!

Tye Dye

For one of the last weekends of the semester we decided that we wanted to do something fun. We tye-dyed shirts with a couple of our fhe brothers. It was so much fun. It was quite interesting to watch us all try and dye shirts..jam to music..and what ever else that we do. After that we went to the park to throw a frisbee in the dark. Ask me how..we broke a glow stick and put the junk all over it. Yes, it was all over our hands after that.

FAMILY!!!!!

Over the fourth of July I went to Cody, WY to go see family for the break. It was so great!!! I haven't seen them in forever. It was so great to see them again. I drove myself down there for the first time. It actually wasn't too bad. I was pretty nervous I won't lie. I was also pretty proud of myself except I did miss a turn and so it set me back like 30 minutes. It was so worth it though! I just love family!
I skipped classes on Tuesday so that I could stay an extra day with them. I got to take Jesse back  to Rexburg me. It was such a blast! I will just let you know that that was a trip never to forget! Oh, we saw a bear in the park driving through. Jesse flipped out. It was pretty funny. And a buffalo decided that it would just make itself a car in the middle of the road. Yeah..not so much fun.

I love that I got to see my family. I love them and I had such a blast. I didn't want to leave at all!

Pictures..

Ok, so I have a few pictures from this semester that I have not put up so here they are....

We were getting ready to go to a bonfire...and then Aubrey and I decided that we wanted to have a little dance party in our bathroom..

I had the opportunity to ride the Charlie Russell dinner train for my work staff appreciation dinner..so I drove home so I could go.

Ethan graduated from high school!!! 3rd in his class!
The Proform Airborne Jump Rope EXTREME show!!!!
Aubrey made me go in the corner one evening while she was doing her homework because I guess I was distracting her.
Paige and I went shopping in Idaho Falls and maybe had a little too much fun at times.

What a Busy Weekend

Oh my goodness this weekend seemed like it was so busy, but it was good. Saturday my stake had a stake service project. It was so cool to see how many people showed up to participate in it. I went with a couple of my roommates. Aubrey and I went with a few other people to go to this older ladies house. We thought we were going to wash windows, but it turned out we were going to weed this enormously massive garden..ok it probably wasn't that big, but it sure seemed like it. Although the garden seemed never ending we really enjoyed being there and doing the service for the lady. She was so grateful for our service also that that kind of just made it all worth it. But just let me explain this garden to you..it literally was quite big, what got us mostly was that the dirt was wet so therefore it turned into mud, and was really cold. Beside that it was fantastic! Later that day Aubrey and I went to Guitars Unplugged. It is a concert that is all student involved. They put it on and only students are the ones that perform. It was pretty good. A friend of Aubrey's was in the last act, so that was fun to see, which was hands down the best of the night. I won't lie we yelled and cheered for him quite a bit. At the end of the night we totaled how much time we spent apart from each other that day...we figured at the max it was only 30 minutes. It was such a fun day. The best of it all was that we were totally fine with it, we never got mad or annoyed with each other. haha.
I lately have had a real desire to play the guitar. Hopefully that will happen. :)
Peace!

Bikes, and Concerts!

This weekend I went on a 'bike ride' for the first time in a long time with my roommate Aubrey and our friend Brooks Hartman. It was probably one of the most interesting bike rides I have been on in awhile. So, out of the three of us none of us had our own bikes. We had to go ask guys in our ward if they had a bike and if we could borrow it. We actually found one for each of us. One was slightly bigger so we made Brooks take that one seeing as he is like a foot taller than us. I ended up riding one that was still too big even after they lowered it all the way. Yeah..that was quite interesting. Aubrey's bike was seriously all jacked up. The bike seat was tilted up so it hurt to sit on, there were no breaks, and no pedals-just medal bars. I think that I'm pretty safe to say that it was the most interesting bike ride that Brooks has ever been on. I'm not sure he will ever do it again with us. haha. But on the positive side Aubrey and I had a great time, we wanted to keep going but Chuck was done.
On Saturday I went to a concert with my friend Paige Barker. It was a great concert. The opening act was the guy that is in the 'New Spice' commercial for BYU. If you haven't seen you should youtube it. It is pretty funny and so is that guy. I would literally buy a ticket just to see him. The main act for the concert was for Nik Day. He is from Idaho Falls, he used to go to school here at BYU-I but now he goes to BYU. It was really good. He plays the piano and writes his own songs. He played Billy Joel's New York State of Mind to begin, it was just great! You should look up his song Monopoly. He wrote that one, it is pretty good.
Overall, the weekend was good! I actually was at my sunday school class for the first time when my teaching companion taught. It was weird, I won't lie to be the student for the first time.

We also had a friend come visit us on our wall in the hall!! :)

Yes, it is wonderful!!!
Peace! :)

What a Weekend!!

What a weekend this was! It was a pretty good one. I went to a bonfire on saturday night. That was a lot of fun. It was the first one I have been to this summer. Hopefully it won't be the last. Although I could do without all the sand in my pants from them. Sunday I taught sunday school for the first time in 2 weeks, it was also the first time I had been back to the ward in 2 weeks. I felt bad because I had my teaching partner teach 2 weeks in a row, but it is all good because I taught 3 weeks in a row. I ran into a friend sunday too while talking on the phone. That was pretty funny, good to see him though! I learned a good lesson in sacrament meeting on sunday too. I learned that if you rub a black guys head they end up asking you out on a date..yes, this is a true story, and yes it was awkward. So..everyone, do not rub or pet a black guys head they could seek you out and ask you on a date. I promise I am not racist either its just a lesson learned from experience. I taught my first preschool lesson on spiders today. It went pretty good. Our schedule for the day was a little different or messed up because there are students from the nutrition class coming in to do our snack, so that kinda messes up our schedule. The kids loved being taught about spiders. I had to go get quite a few pictures laminated and let me tell you...it was pretty funny to watch the guy laminate them because he did not like spiders. He told me I was going to torment the children with all of those pictures. Most of them weren't even scared at all. I was pretty happy with how it all went. Now just wednesday and I am done teaching. :)
Peace out!

Crazy Preschool!

Holey Moley!! Time is flying by. It has been almost a month since I last wrote on here. A lot I guess has happened since then. Preschool is going pretty good I suppose. I won't lie about it. It's a little rough for me. It is quite a bit different than what I am used to at Small Wonder. I have learned to really appreciate Small Wonder and the wonderful effort that Patty has put into the program. That is where I have learned basically almost everything that I know. I have team taught twice now. The first lesson was on cows, and I just taught on chickens on Monday the 23rd. I don't care if I am from Montana, I am so sick of farm animals. We just finished that theme at Small Wonder in March and I come to school and for preschool here we start farm animals. Thank goodness we get to pick our topics now. I won't complain though that I got to play in the mud! I loved that myself. :) I am finishing up my  next two lessons now. They are both on spiders. We have a pet tarantula in our room named Webby. The kids love him! Well..we don't know if it is a girl or a boy we just always usually say he or him. haha. I will be glad when my teaching is over and well the whole thing too. ha!
I had the opportunity to go home last weekend of the 21st and I got to see a little bit of Ethan play in his tennis divisional tournament. HE WON DIVISIONALS!!!!!! I was sad to miss him play in the championship but happy that I got to see a little bit, I don't really get to since I have been at school for every season.
I also went home that weekend because for work our staff appreciation dinner was on our dinner train, Charlie Russell Choo Choo. I had a lot of fun on that!! It was a mexican themed dinner. I enjoyed being with everyone that I work with again. Patty, my boss told me that it has been too long already, even though it has only been a little over a month. I am so grateful for the opportunity that I have to work there and be a part of that.
School is going pretty good right now. It is flying by so fast. It is almost June and I feel like I just got here. It can't be midterm next week!! Crazy stuff!! I love it here so much! My classes are great. I am learning a lot from..like..when we practice our circle times in class it is the only time we can call our teacher Mike not Brother Godfrey, and that he throws frog toys at me or plays with my hair..or I can take other people toys. I think I enjoyed that part of class a little too much. I am taking a religion class just for fun called Doctrines of the Gospel and I love it! It is only twice a week. I have learned so much from that class. Our teacher said he was going to be gone for a couple classes and so they will be canceled, I think that was one of the only few times I said to myself 'no I want there to be class!' Now if I say that that must mean something! haha.
Well..it has been a lot of fun and pranking thing semester. My roommate and I just might be prank queens by the end of this semester! We have pranked our FHE brothers a couple times this semester already. My favorite is that we taped a music chip from the music cards to their door so that it would play whenever they opened their door. Now we are just hoping that they will prank back and turn it into a prank war..I know we may be a little wierd. :)
All is great, enjoying life, friends, and wonderful experiences!! :)

ING Words..Concerting, Shopping, Calling!!!!!

This past weekend I went to a Beatles concert!!!!!! Now you may be wondering how this is because the Beatles are no longer with us..well two of them. There is a groupd called 1964 the Beatle Tribute. Let me tell you it was AMAZING!!!! I think I discovered from that concert that I really like Ringo!! haha. After the concert Paige, I went with Paige to the concert, went to one of our friends apartments and watched Batman Begins with them, oh, after we went and got Jamba Juice! Let me just say, Dan sure knows his movies!!
On saturday I drove to my friend Paige's house so we could go shopping in Idaho Falls! That was a lot of fun too! I love Paige. We went to the mall, saw a slightly creepy man, ate some delicious free smoothie sample, and subway, along with a little bit of shopping there. It was some great times!
Sunday I got a calling! Guess what it is................................well if you guessed Sunday School Instructor you would be correct! I am excited for this calling and looking forward to teaching and learning from others. I actually taught sunday school on sunday and the sunday before that too before I even was extended the calling. I was called that Sunday morning to meet with a member of the bishopric, I won't lie I was kind of expecting it. :)

Yay School??

The first week of school is now complete! Well, almost first whole week minus one day. haha. I think this semester will be a good but busy one! I am excited to see what a new semester will bring for me. I am in the same ward as I have always been. I just love it too much to leave. haha. We had the beginning of the semester fireside last night with our stake presidency. We got a new stake presidency last semster when I was not here. I am looking forward to seeing what they will bring to the stake. Last night they told us that our goal for the stake is to "Come Unto Christ." What a great goal. Our stake president is a religion teacher and he has so much energy. The second counselor is a girl on the jump rope teams dad. That was exciting.

I had a great birthday last Sunday. Thank you to all of you are wished me a happy birthday.

Easter was good too. I won't lie it was way different not having Easter with my family. It was the first time that I had not been with them, so it was a new experience. Kaite and I, well it was mostly Katie, I just sort of helped make dinner yesterday for some of our friends. It was a VERY entertaining dinner. Who knew how hilarious four boys could be over dinner? We sure found out. haha. It was great though!
Peace!

Finally..

Tonight I finally started packing for school. I am going to leave on saturday to head back for spring semester. I'm a little excited, anxious, and nervous about this semester, but I'm sure that it will be a good one! It has been one crazy week! It is also WEEK OF THE YOUNG CHILD!!!!!!!! Oh goodness, this is a super fun week. A wicked busy one, but fun also! We have so many cool activities planned for the children and their families and ways the community can be involved. Look for cute people and handprints around town if you can. :) I just love this week. We had a carnival today for the kids. They all had a blast. Shandi and I and Wendy basically manned the whole thing. Let me tell you it can get crazy! I enjoyed it though. Tomorrow morning we have breakfast for the children and their families. I'm excited for that. It is way good. What a great week to end at work! I will miss it as always and will be back in there in July! :)

Slumber Party!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Last night for work we had our slumber party for the kids! Well, we say for the kids but at the same time its for the staff also. :) It was lots of fun! We had pizza, ice cream sundaes, yes, that was fun, I came out with whipped cream, ice cream, and sprinkles in my hair! Let's just say that some of the staff had a little too much fun during the sundaes. :) We then played hide and seek in the dark with the kids. They all loved that! Oh we must not forget the lovely pillow fight! I think the teachers might find more joy in the pillow fight then the children. I kept being told before the fight to beware because I was going to get beat up by some of the children. I then insisted with one of them that I had more on my side then theirs..was I right..not to brag but yes, yes I did!! :) To finish the night we watch Toy Story 3 and the teachers ate chocolate! haha. It was one long, fun, awesome night!

Great Weekend

Conference was amazing this weekend!!! I love that we get the opportunity to listen and hear from our Prophet and Apostles every six months. I really liked Elder Scotts talk. It was good. They all were good. Let's just say that I'm excited to read them in the May Ensign! I always look forward to getting the conference issue of the ensign. Oh after the first session of conference today my mom's side of the family did like a group skype thing to catch up with each other and to see and hear how everyone is doing. It was pretty cool to see them since it has been like 7 or more years since I have seen some of them.
I made Eryn's birthday present this weekend while listening to conference..I hope she likes it..she should danget. haha. Just kidding.
On Friday night I went with Shandi from work and her family to go see the movie Hop. It was so good. I laughed pretty hard! I really liked it and would recommend seeing it. Now, I want to see Gnomeo and Juliet so if anyone has seen let me know what you thought of it. It was overall a pretty good weekend!
Peace!
