FAMILY!!!!!

Over the fourth of July I went to Cody, WY to go see family for the break. It was so great!!! I haven't seen them in forever. It was so great to see them again. I drove myself down there for the first time. It actually wasn't too bad. I was pretty nervous I won't lie. I was also pretty proud of myself except I did miss a turn and so it set me back like 30 minutes. It was so worth it though! I just love family!
I skipped classes on Tuesday so that I could stay an extra day with them. I got to take Jesse back  to Rexburg me. It was such a blast! I will just let you know that that was a trip never to forget! Oh, we saw a bear in the park driving through. Jesse flipped out. It was pretty funny. And a buffalo decided that it would just make itself a car in the middle of the road. Yeah..not so much fun.

I love that I got to see my family. I love them and I had such a blast. I didn't want to leave at all!

Pictures..

Ok, so I have a few pictures from this semester that I have not put up so here they are....

We were getting ready to go to a bonfire...and then Aubrey and I decided that we wanted to have a little dance party in our bathroom..

I had the opportunity to ride the Charlie Russell dinner train for my work staff appreciation dinner..so I drove home so I could go.

Ethan graduated from high school!!! 3rd in his class!
The Proform Airborne Jump Rope EXTREME show!!!!
Aubrey made me go in the corner one evening while she was doing her homework because I guess I was distracting her.
Paige and I went shopping in Idaho Falls and maybe had a little too much fun at times.

What a Busy Weekend

Oh my goodness this weekend seemed like it was so busy, but it was good. Saturday my stake had a stake service project. It was so cool to see how many people showed up to participate in it. I went with a couple of my roommates. Aubrey and I went with a few other people to go to this older ladies house. We thought we were going to wash windows, but it turned out we were going to weed this enormously massive garden..ok it probably wasn't that big, but it sure seemed like it. Although the garden seemed never ending we really enjoyed being there and doing the service for the lady. She was so grateful for our service also that that kind of just made it all worth it. But just let me explain this garden to you..it literally was quite big, what got us mostly was that the dirt was wet so therefore it turned into mud, and was really cold. Beside that it was fantastic! Later that day Aubrey and I went to Guitars Unplugged. It is a concert that is all student involved. They put it on and only students are the ones that perform. It was pretty good. A friend of Aubrey's was in the last act, so that was fun to see, which was hands down the best of the night. I won't lie we yelled and cheered for him quite a bit. At the end of the night we totaled how much time we spent apart from each other that day...we figured at the max it was only 30 minutes. It was such a fun day. The best of it all was that we were totally fine with it, we never got mad or annoyed with each other. haha.
I lately have had a real desire to play the guitar. Hopefully that will happen. :)
Peace!

Bikes, and Concerts!

This weekend I went on a 'bike ride' for the first time in a long time with my roommate Aubrey and our friend Brooks Hartman. It was probably one of the most interesting bike rides I have been on in awhile. So, out of the three of us none of us had our own bikes. We had to go ask guys in our ward if they had a bike and if we could borrow it. We actually found one for each of us. One was slightly bigger so we made Brooks take that one seeing as he is like a foot taller than us. I ended up riding one that was still too big even after they lowered it all the way. Yeah..that was quite interesting. Aubrey's bike was seriously all jacked up. The bike seat was tilted up so it hurt to sit on, there were no breaks, and no pedals-just medal bars. I think that I'm pretty safe to say that it was the most interesting bike ride that Brooks has ever been on. I'm not sure he will ever do it again with us. haha. But on the positive side Aubrey and I had a great time, we wanted to keep going but Chuck was done.
On Saturday I went to a concert with my friend Paige Barker. It was a great concert. The opening act was the guy that is in the 'New Spice' commercial for BYU. If you haven't seen you should youtube it. It is pretty funny and so is that guy. I would literally buy a ticket just to see him. The main act for the concert was for Nik Day. He is from Idaho Falls, he used to go to school here at BYU-I but now he goes to BYU. It was really good. He plays the piano and writes his own songs. He played Billy Joel's New York State of Mind to begin, it was just great! You should look up his song Monopoly. He wrote that one, it is pretty good.
Overall, the weekend was good! I actually was at my sunday school class for the first time when my teaching companion taught. It was weird, I won't lie to be the student for the first time.

We also had a friend come visit us on our wall in the hall!! :)

Yes, it is wonderful!!!
Peace! :)

What a Weekend!!

What a weekend this was! It was a pretty good one. I went to a bonfire on saturday night. That was a lot of fun. It was the first one I have been to this summer. Hopefully it won't be the last. Although I could do without all the sand in my pants from them. Sunday I taught sunday school for the first time in 2 weeks, it was also the first time I had been back to the ward in 2 weeks. I felt bad because I had my teaching partner teach 2 weeks in a row, but it is all good because I taught 3 weeks in a row. I ran into a friend sunday too while talking on the phone. That was pretty funny, good to see him though! I learned a good lesson in sacrament meeting on sunday too. I learned that if you rub a black guys head they end up asking you out on a date..yes, this is a true story, and yes it was awkward. So..everyone, do not rub or pet a black guys head they could seek you out and ask you on a date. I promise I am not racist either its just a lesson learned from experience. I taught my first preschool lesson on spiders today. It went pretty good. Our schedule for the day was a little different or messed up because there are students from the nutrition class coming in to do our snack, so that kinda messes up our schedule. The kids loved being taught about spiders. I had to go get quite a few pictures laminated and let me tell you...it was pretty funny to watch the guy laminate them because he did not like spiders. He told me I was going to torment the children with all of those pictures. Most of them weren't even scared at all. I was pretty happy with how it all went. Now just wednesday and I am done teaching. :)
Peace out!

Crazy Preschool!

Holey Moley!! Time is flying by. It has been almost a month since I last wrote on here. A lot I guess has happened since then. Preschool is going pretty good I suppose. I won't lie about it. It's a little rough for me. It is quite a bit different than what I am used to at Small Wonder. I have learned to really appreciate Small Wonder and the wonderful effort that Patty has put into the program. That is where I have learned basically almost everything that I know. I have team taught twice now. The first lesson was on cows, and I just taught on chickens on Monday the 23rd. I don't care if I am from Montana, I am so sick of farm animals. We just finished that theme at Small Wonder in March and I come to school and for preschool here we start farm animals. Thank goodness we get to pick our topics now. I won't complain though that I got to play in the mud! I loved that myself. :) I am finishing up my  next two lessons now. They are both on spiders. We have a pet tarantula in our room named Webby. The kids love him! Well..we don't know if it is a girl or a boy we just always usually say he or him. haha. I will be glad when my teaching is over and well the whole thing too. ha!
I had the opportunity to go home last weekend of the 21st and I got to see a little bit of Ethan play in his tennis divisional tournament. HE WON DIVISIONALS!!!!!! I was sad to miss him play in the championship but happy that I got to see a little bit, I don't really get to since I have been at school for every season.
I also went home that weekend because for work our staff appreciation dinner was on our dinner train, Charlie Russell Choo Choo. I had a lot of fun on that!! It was a mexican themed dinner. I enjoyed being with everyone that I work with again. Patty, my boss told me that it has been too long already, even though it has only been a little over a month. I am so grateful for the opportunity that I have to work there and be a part of that.
School is going pretty good right now. It is flying by so fast. It is almost June and I feel like I just got here. It can't be midterm next week!! Crazy stuff!! I love it here so much! My classes are great. I am learning a lot from..like..when we practice our circle times in class it is the only time we can call our teacher Mike not Brother Godfrey, and that he throws frog toys at me or plays with my hair..or I can take other people toys. I think I enjoyed that part of class a little too much. I am taking a religion class just for fun called Doctrines of the Gospel and I love it! It is only twice a week. I have learned so much from that class. Our teacher said he was going to be gone for a couple classes and so they will be canceled, I think that was one of the only few times I said to myself 'no I want there to be class!' Now if I say that that must mean something! haha.
Well..it has been a lot of fun and pranking thing semester. My roommate and I just might be prank queens by the end of this semester! We have pranked our FHE brothers a couple times this semester already. My favorite is that we taped a music chip from the music cards to their door so that it would play whenever they opened their door. Now we are just hoping that they will prank back and turn it into a prank war..I know we may be a little wierd. :)
All is great, enjoying life, friends, and wonderful experiences!! :)

ING Words..Concerting, Shopping, Calling!!!!!

This past weekend I went to a Beatles concert!!!!!! Now you may be wondering how this is because the Beatles are no longer with us..well two of them. There is a groupd called 1964 the Beatle Tribute. Let me tell you it was AMAZING!!!! I think I discovered from that concert that I really like Ringo!! haha. After the concert Paige, I went with Paige to the concert, went to one of our friends apartments and watched Batman Begins with them, oh, after we went and got Jamba Juice! Let me just say, Dan sure knows his movies!!
On saturday I drove to my friend Paige's house so we could go shopping in Idaho Falls! That was a lot of fun too! I love Paige. We went to the mall, saw a slightly creepy man, ate some delicious free smoothie sample, and subway, along with a little bit of shopping there. It was some great times!
Sunday I got a calling! Guess what it is................................well if you guessed Sunday School Instructor you would be correct! I am excited for this calling and looking forward to teaching and learning from others. I actually taught sunday school on sunday and the sunday before that too before I even was extended the calling. I was called that Sunday morning to meet with a member of the bishopric, I won't lie I was kind of expecting it. :)
We got our FHE groups last monday, but had our first official FHE with them just yesterday. We have a great group of people. We are looking forward to having a lot of fun with them this semester.
Peace!
